About Our Deliveries

Our goal is to deliver your boat to its destination as safely and quickly as possible consistent with the vessels capabilities. We will provide you with a professional and reliable service at a reasonable price. Safety is always our primary concern and we do not charge for weather delays. We will stay in daily communication with you during the entire delivery process. You will always know where we are and the current vessel and delivery status.

Note: We only deliver boats on the water – not trailers.

Steps in the Delivery Process

1. Submit a Proposal Request–if we’re not on a delivery, we will respond within 24 hours.

2. Review Proposal response. Contact us with any questions.

3. If our proposal is acceptable and you want us to do the delivery, call or send an email letting us know. Complete and submit Boat Specifications.

4. A Contract will be sent to you which must be signed and returned, along with requested deposit and insurance documents, before departure date.

5. Departure date–your boat is on the way.

FAQback to top

Are you in contact with the owner during the delivery?

Yes. Daily, cell phone reception permitting.

Is a recent survey needed?

Not absolutely required, but if a survey was done within the past two years we would like to see a copy.

How many hours are made underway each day?

With Captain and one crew member, generally at least 12 hours. We are underway just before sunrise and stop a half hour or so before sunset. With a total crew complete of three, we run 24/7.

What happens if the vessel becomes unseaworthy or incapable of continuing safely?

We will immediately get to the nearest marina and contact you.

What happens if repairs are needed along the way?

We will make repairs within our capability. Otherwise we will get to the nearest marina and contact you immediately for your approval before any repairs are done.

Does the boat need to be insured?

Yes. We rely on the owner’s insurance and can not do the delivery without insurance. We require a copy of the cover page of your policy showing the effective dates, boat identification and the Protection and Indemnity (P&I) section of your policy showing that all crew members are covered by the policy. You should check with your insurance company to see if a hired Captain and crew are covered by your policy.

Am I charged for weather delays?

No. If we feel it is not safe to continue, we will stay at anchor or dock until conditions improve.

Do you provide a trip log at completion?

Yes. A trip log is provided detailing each days activities, distance covered, location, fluid levels, vessel’s condition and any unusual situations.
